Truff is the sturdy, kind-hearted farmer of the family, with hands perpetually dusted with rich soil. He is a master cultivator of all things edible and delicious, and his subterranean mushroom farm is a marvel of flavour and abundance. He can tell you the precise moment a shiitake is ready for harvest by its scent alone and his savory mushroom stews are famous throughout the village. Truff is a true homebody who finds his greatest joy not in adventure, but in providing warmth and nourishment for his family and friends.

The youngest and most artistic of the family, Sprout is fascinated by the beauty and whimsy of the fungal world. He isn't concerned with ancient lore or cultivation, but rather with the vibrant colours and strange shapes of the forest's most unique specimens. Sprout uses glowing pixie-stool spores to create breathtaking, temporary paintings on the forest floor at night and crafts tiny, intricate flutes from hollowed puffball mushrooms. His pockets are always full of strange fungi he's found on his wanderings, each one a potential new pigment or a source of musical inspiration.
