This high quality floor clock was designed by world renowned clock makers HERMLE from the Black Forest in Germany, where the company was established in 1922.

Measuring 189cm in height, this longcase clock features an elegant wooden case in a sleek black finish, and a nickel chapter ring dial with dashes for numerals and contrasting red hands. The unique skeleton design allows for high visibility into the inner movement and front mounted rod pendulum, which is protected by a glass panel.

This clock is fitted with a high quality weight driven 14 day mechanical movement, with an hourly passing bell strike. The chrome plated movement has been hand assembled, and features a top mounted chime hammer on a brass bell. This elegant clock requires winding once a fortnight and features a single brass bell on top of the movement. The movement and the case are both 100% German made, ensuring an item of high quality. The chime can be deactivated by placing a small piece of cotton wool between the hammer and the bell.

Traditionally, grandfather clocks have not changed much over the centuries and to this day they still represent the amazing craftsmanship of both clock making and carpentry, keeping in style with a passage of time that is still well loved in today’s society.
