Measuring 217cm in height, this grandfather clock features an impressive round chapter ring brass and silver dial with roman numerals. Above the main dial is an inset moon dial which displays the phases of the Moon as it progresses through a complete lunar month of 29.5 days. Rounding out the body of this fascinating clock is a traditional case burnished into a walnut colour. At the front of the clock is a decorative mineral glass panel that allows visibility into the impressive inner features including the clock movement, dial, polished brass weights and lyre pendulum. This elegant grandfather clock is fitted with a high quality 8-day chain driven movement, and plays the famous Westminster chime (also known as the "Big Ben" chime or the "Westminster Quarters"). In addition to these features, the clock also has manual chime on/off function, a night-time shut-off function, as well as the option to silence the clock altogether should that be preferred. This clock needs to be wound once a week.
