A Classic Traditional Wall Clock

This high quality traditional wall clock was designed by world renowed clock makers HERMLE from Germany, where the company was established in 1922.

Measuring 57cm in height, this stunning wall clock features an elegant oak coloured MDF case, with a front visual glass panel allowing visiblity into the movement and pendulum. This impressive clock is rounded out by an elegant white dial with Arabic numerals. This chiming clock has three winding holes evident in the dial, each linked to a different spring- one drives the timekeeping pendulum, the second gives power to the chime, and the last spring is linked to the strike that strikes the time on the hour once the chime is completed - an example would be the clock striking 3 times at 3 o’clock.

This clock features a 4/4 Westminster Chime movement which requires winding once every 8 days. Every quarter hour, a part of the Westminster chime is played, with the full chime followed by the hour strike on the full hour. This clock also features an automatic night off function, which will disengage the chiming through the evening, allowing you a sound sleep before recommencing again the next morning, along with a complete chime deactivation if preferred. This exquisite clock also features a high quality 8 day running weight driven mechanism, meaning the clock only needs to be wound once every 8 days.

As mechanical clocks often runs for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for many years without stopping, it is highly recommended to get a service and a maintenance clean every 7 to 10 years. This should always be carried out by a qualified professional clockmaker.
