To the right of the men is a dog in front of his kennel, whilst another dog is sitting to the left of the men. This fascinating scene also includes a water wheel and a large number of carved trees that help to set the scene perfectly. This highly detailed scene also includes a wooden clock dial in the centre of the chalet, and a large amount of hand painted details including window shutters and flowers in the windowsills. Rounding out this unique clock is a timber pendulum that hangs below the clock dial itself, alongside the weights, whilst colourful dancers are situated on a balcony above the clock dial.

Chalet style cuckoo clocks are the most famous and common type of cuckoo clock, and are often featured in the shape of alpine houses.
