Haller. Tradition for 150 years
"For more than 50 years we have been following the concept of combining traditional watchmaking and sophisticated technology with modern design."
Tradition that is committed
It is true that in no other region is clock making so firmly anchored as in the Black Forest. The beginnings of our company go back to 1874, where Philipp Haller mainly dealt with the construction and distribution of wooden tools. This continued in the next generations.
After his successful training as a precision watchmaker at Philipp Haas & Söhne in St. Georgen, his grandson Siegfried Haller took over the business. With untiring diligence, a lot of skill and inventor spirit, he perfected the production of mechanical clocks.
Manufactured in Germany
Since the premises in St. Georgen were no longer sufficient due to the rapid expansion of the company, the clockmaking company was moved to Simonswald in 1953, today's location of Haller Uhrenfabrik GmbH. Shortly thereafter the sons of Siegfried Haller - Siegfried Haller Junior and Manfred Haller - joined the company. Over the next few years, clockmaking grew into a modern, globally active company.
Since 2005 Martin Haller, a grandson of the company founder Siegfried Haller Sen., has headed the renowned clockmaking company in Simonswald. This is the third generation of Martin Haller to continue the long-standing family tradition of Haller's clock production at the Simonswald site.
"Through advanced thinking and action, we are today the world market leader
in the production of anniversary clocks!"
After the Haller clock factory established itself with the production of mechanical precision clocks, the range was constantly extended to this day. So also in 1974, when Haller surprised the professional world with the serial production of an electronically controlled clock. This clock was developed and designed by Siegfried Haller Sen. The revolutionary swing pendulum was equipped with a first-time application of a rigid axle suspension, magnetic pendulum relief and shock absorbers, which - compared to a conventional swing pendulum - has yielded enormous technical and economic advantages.
Haller also meets the high demands of our customers with the world's first radio year clock or with the new development of the quartz-controlled "floating" skeleton mechanism.
Regardless of our intensive technical research and development, we have created a variety of highly creative style clocks. An example of this is the market introduction of Haller Elegance models. Worldwide, unique, transparent style clocks are already available in second generation as "transparency clocks".
It is important to us to continue this long-term family tradition.
With every Haller quality watch, you get a piece of sophisticated technology, combined with history and tradition - a value object that lasts the time.
