Diplodocus - 2025
About The Diplodocus
The Diplodocus was a massive, long-necked herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, around 154 to 152 million years ago. Characterized by its long, whip-like tail and relatively short head, it could grow up to 26 metres in length. Despite its enormous size, the Diplodocus had a relatively lightweight body, supported by four sturdy legs. It likely fed on ferns and other plants found in the lush, prehistoric landscapes, using its long neck to reach high vegetation or graze on lower plants. Its distinctive appearance and peaceful, plant-eating habits make it one of the most recognisable dinosaurs.
