Metal Crank Key (#9)
Find the Right Clock Winding Key for Your Clock
Clock keys come in different numbers (e.g No. 6 or No. 10). These numbers represent which size winding shaft your clock has, and therefore which key to purchase. If you donβt know what size key you require youβll have to measure the thickness of your winding shaft, then refer to the picture to purchase the relevant key. Use a vernier caliper to measure the key shaft in your clock, and make sure to order one size above your measured shaft size.

This brass and nickel plated steel crank key features a stamped size of #9 with a winding key shaft size of 4.50mm. It measures 55mm x 55mm x 5.5mm, and weighs 10 grams.
