Beavers are considered one of the largest living rodents in the world. They have thick fur, webbed feet, flattened tails, powerful jaws and strong teeth. All beavers need water to survive, and as such, they live in and around ponds, lakes, rivers, marshes and swamps. They are very busy and hard working rodents, spending most of their time building dams, felling trees with their teeth and waterproofing their lodges with mud.
